Vigilance
My alcoholism lives within me now and forever.  I must never forget what I am.
Alcohol will kill me if I fail to recognize and acknowledge my disease on a daily basis.
I am not playing a game in which a loss is a temporary setback.
I am dealing with my disease for which there is no cure, only daily acceptance and vigilance.

- Daily Reflections, p. 276

Thought to Ponder . . .
If I don't drink today, I have the hope of a tomorrow.

AA-related 'Alconym' . . .
A A = Always Aware.
Thanks to all of you for sharing so generously of your experience, strength and hope in carrying the AA message.
Blessings in sobriety to all,
In love and service,
